This course introduces students to select legal, ethical, and policy issues and disputes relevant to advertising and marketing. The intent of the course is to strengthen the skill set of those wishing to enter the advertising and marketing profession. Students will be exposed to an extensive discussion of law relating to regulations, contract, tort, and intellectual property issues in marketing and advertising.

This course introduces students to select legal, ethical, financial, and policy issues and disputes relevant to the business of team sports such as baseball, basketball, and football. The intent of the course is to strengthen the skill set of those wishing to enter the business of sports. Students will be exposed to substantive areas of law such as sports regulation, contracts, torts, intellectual property, employment and discrimination from the perspective of various stakeholders that may include:
- Sports Leagues;
- Teams;
- Unions (Players Associations);
- Agents; and,
- Athletes (both amateur and professional).
